Clive Jones, a local builder was considering buying a larger property last year as his current cottage in Pensford does not have a dining room where Clive and his wife Jennie can entertain friends and family. Due to the uncertain financial climate Clive decided to use garden space to build a fabulous log cabin which measures 5 meters by 3 metres. Clive designed the cabin himself and built to a very high specification. It is fully insulated with hand-made windows and doors, a re-claimed wood floor and a patio area with a brick-built pizza oven.
Moving house can be very expensive and stressful, especially in the current economic climate. This additional space can often mean moving is made unnecessary, saving money and anxiety as well as immediately increasing a property's future sales value. Planning permission is rarely required, the construction is incredibly convenient and it is a cost effective alternative to building an extension.
